In May 2007, the Superintendents of the ten school districts approved the EFA Presents! Admission Credit in recognition of the importance of maintaining access to high-quality arts education programming during difficult economic times.
This exciting initiative provides free admission to selected works of art for every K-8 school (public and private) in the Kalamazoo RESA service district.
Each K-8 school receives one credit per enrolled student based on the September count. The credits may be redeemed for admission to any of the works of art on the 2008/09 Repertoire. Credits may be used for any combination of events. If a school uses all of its credits for the school year, but wants to attend additional events, it may purchase extra admissions at a cost of only $2.00 per student for field trips or $100.00 per school for the Legacy and Promise traveling exhibit.
High schools in the Kalamazoo RESA service district may purchase admission to several works of art on the 2008/09 Repertoire. Admission is only $2.00 per student for field trips or $100.00 per school for the Legacy and Promise traveling exhibit.
Admission for adult chaperones on field trips is free of charge, however, the number of chaperones is limited. To maximize the number of K-12 student seats, we ask that schools limit the number of chaperones to one per every 12-15 students. Additional adult admissions to the Spared from the Storm exhibit my be purchased from the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts for $8.00 per adult.
