This work of art is an EFA Presents! Admission Credit selection.
This traveling ArtReach exhibit features six original works from the permanent collection of the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts. Legacy and Promise includes two-dimensional works, such as color lithographs and mixed media, by 20th and 21rst Century African-American artists. The exhibit includes works by Benny Andrews, Marcus Akinlana, Garry R. Bibbs, John Biggers, Murphy Darden, Sr. and James Palmore. These artists approach such themes as cultural identity, social conflict and collective memory with deep insight and unique authority.
The exhibit is brought to schools and professionally installed by Kalamazoo Institute of Art staff. The exhibit must be located in a lockable room, such as a library. The exhibit will be on display at each school for three weeks. Availability is limited, so please book early.

The cost for the exhibit is $100.00 per school or 50 credits using the EFA Presents! Admission Credit for grades K-8
